KABUL (Pajhwok): The Biden administration has commended Pakistan for hosting an Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit on Afghanistan.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called the OIC extraordinary session a prime example of “our collective determination and action” to help the needy Afghans.
Blinken tweeted on Wednesday: “We thank Pakistan for hosting this vital meeting and inviting the global community to continue cooperating to support the Afghan people.”
Pakistan hosted the session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers last Sunday, the secretary of state wrote, as the UN Security Council passed a US resolution facilitating aid delivery to the Afghans.
