KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Statistic and Information Authority (NSIA) says 340,000 computerised national identity cards (CNICs) have been distributed nationwide over the past four months.
On its Facebook page, NSIA said it resumed CNIC processing and distribution process. The cards already prepared are currently being distributed.
“The CNIC application processing and distribution is underway normally in Kabul, Nangarhar, Kunar, Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Logar, Kandahar, Zabul, Balkh, Herat, Jawzjan, Baghlan, Ghazni, Badakhshan, Kunduz, Farah, Nuristan, Samangan and Takhar provinces.”
Up to 15,000 people daily receive CNIC in these provinces, NSIA reported.
