HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): A leading moneychanger has been gunned down in the capital of western Herat province, police said on Sunday.
Police spokesman Mahmood Rassouli told Pajhwok Afghan News Abdul Rahim Siddiqui was shot dead by unknown gunmen on his way home on Saturday night.
Rassouli said the incident took place in limits of the 8th police district of Herat City near Khwaja Abdullah Ansari Street. No arrests have been made yet in connection with his murder.
Abdul Wajid, a relative of the victim, confirmed that Siddiqui was shot dead on his way home.
