JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Newly trained border guards from the First Border Brigade in the east are being deployed to newly-built checkpoints along the Durand Line in Nangarhar and Kunar provinces, an official said on Sunday.
Local officials say the barbed wire being erected by Pakistan along the Durand Line is unacceptable and they will not allow anyone to invade Afghan territory.
They say more troops are planned to be trained and deployed to protect the border in the future.
The trained troops say they will ensure full protection of the border and any aggressors would face their response.
