KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghan government has spurned reports that former Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Mohammad Khurasani has been killed in Afghanistan.
Media outlets quoted a Pakistani security official, who declined to be named, as saying that Khurasani, spokesman for the TTP, had been shot dead in eastern Nangarhar province.
But Bilal Karimi, deputy spokesman for the Afghan government, told Pajhwok Afghan News that no such incident had happened in Afghanistan.
He said there was no foreign citizen in Afghanistan who was involved in insurgent activity or had met such an incident.
