Canadian national arrested in Farah

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Security forces have arrested a Canadian national at a check-point in western Farah province, according to a well-placed source on Friday.

“Security forces arrested a Canadian national in the Farahroud District bazaar during a search at a check-point,” the source said.

Detained individual is Canadian national and the reason why he entered Farah province was not yet known.

Intelligence sources have launched investigation into the incident.

Pajhwok Afghan News obtained an audio clip of security personnel during the time of Canadian national arrest. “We identified him after he spoke another foreign language apart from English.”
