KABUL (Pajhwok): A young woman has been killed at a security checkpoint in limits of the 13th police district of Kabul.
A relative of the victim said they were heading home after attending a wedding party on Friday night when the security forces stopped their car.
The security personnel opened fire at the car when it resumed its movement, he claimed. As a result, 25-year-old Zainab was killed.
Zainab’s brother-in-law of told media: “There is a checkpoint in Barchi area, where there were several other vehicles in front of me. The security officials held flashlights in their hands. When I left, they opened fire at us.”
Meanwhile, the father of Zainab urged the government to arrest the killer of his daughter and bring him to justice.
Police spokesman Gen. Mobin said: “We have probed the incident and will soon share information with media. We share the grief of the victim’s family.”
