ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Four people were killed and 10 others injured when a car came under a gun attack in Narang district of eastern Kunar province, officials said Wednesday.
MulaviNajibullahHanif, Kunar information and culture director, confirmed the incident, saying four people had been killed and 10 others injured.
He said the vehicle which came under attack was carrying members of a family who had personal enmity.
He added that the people were on their way to Narang district when came under attack.
The killer has been arrested by security forces in injured condition and is being investigated, he said.
An eyewitness of the incident, Zahid, told Pajhwok that a Suzuki model car was shot at in Yehdak area of Narang district at around 9am, leaving several people dead and injured.
He said a Taliban soldier, Mohammad Amir Ghazi, was also in the car when it came under attack.
The dead included Mohammad Amir Ghazi, his son and several others, he added.
A doctor at the Asadabad Civil Hospital, speaking on condition of anonymity, said five bodies and 10 injured people had been brought to the hospital.
A day earlier, a man was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the Da Yawagul area of Chawki district of Kunar province.
