Iran issues permit for diesel transit to Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): Iran’s special representative for Afghanistan has announced the issuance of a quarterly transit permit for diesel fuel through the territory of Iran to Afghanistan.

Hassan KazemiQomi, the Iranian president's special envoy for Afghanistan, said his country had issued the permit at the request of the Afghan government.

He tweeted: “In order to meet the needs of Afghan people in winter and according to the request of officials of the country from Iran, a transit permit for diesel fuel to Afghanistan has been issued for three months.”
