40 persons arrested for traveling illegally abroad  

KABUL (Pajhwok): Forty persons have been arrested in northern Balkh province for attempting to travel illegally out of the country, an official said on Tuesday.

Government Deputy Spokesperson Innamullah Samangani on his Twitter handle wrote: “Forty persons who attempted to travel illegally out of the country arrested.”

He said some of these persons were freed after the initial investigation but some women whose relatives did not appear are still in custody, he said.

He did not say from where these individuals were arrested but according to some sources, these persons were arrested from Mazar-i-Sharif Airport.
