KABUL (Pajhwok): India has dispatched three tonnes of life-saving medicines to Afghanistan in humanitarian assistance to the country.
After being flown into Afghanistan, the consignment was handed over to the Indira Gandhi Hospital in Kabul, The Indian Express reported.
In New Delhi, the Ministry of External Affairs said: “India stands committed to continue our special relationship with the people of Afghanistan and provide humanitarian assistance.”
In recent months, Afghanistan received three consignments of medical assistance, including Covid-19 vaccines and essential drugs, from India.
