KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): The owner of a rice processing plant in northern Kunduz province says they process 120 tonnes of rice in 24 hours but are facing problems with regard to buyers and exports.
Khan Mohammad, head of the Shoaib Faisal Rice Processing Factory in Kunduz, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the factory processed 120 tonnes of rice a day and provided direct and indirect employment to more than 6,000 people.
“221 people work directly with us and we purchase rice from 6,000 farmers in Kunduz and process it here,” he said.
