KABUL (Pajhwok): China has delivered around 500 tonnes of food items to Afghanistan as part of Beijing’s humanitarian support to the people of Afghanistan, an official said on Monday.
The aid included sugar, wheat, cooking oil and potato-processing machines, Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Wang Yu said.
The diplomat wrote on his Twitter account: “Today, a train with around 500 tonnes of wheat, sugar, cooking oil and potato-processing machines aided by China left Xinjiang.
“Early next month, another train with wheat, etc will also start its journey. China is fully committed to helping Afg people.”
