SHARAN (Pajhwok): UNICEF affiliated Wadan Organization distributed winter clothes to 615 orphaned children in eastern Paktika province, an official said on Monday.
Wadan Organization Representative Hassan Khan Katawazai told Pajhwok Afghan News the aid was distributed among 615 orphaned children from Khosham and Janikhel districts. The children received aid were less than 18 years old each.
Saifullah is one of the children who received the aid. He told Pajhwok Afghan News his father was killed during the past conflict and his family was facing a grim financial crisis.
He said it was the first time they received warm clothes in assistance and asked aid providing organizations to provide them with food items as well.
It is worth mentioning that two days back Al Fajar Welfare Organisation distributed aid to 300 less fortunate families in Sara Rawza district of Paktika.
