KABUL (Pajhwok): Kabul Municipality on Wednesday said some warehouses, factories and shops, which pose a security threat to the eastern part of Kabul Airport, would be relocated for the expansion of the airfield.
A statement from Kabul Municipality received by Pajhwok Afghan News said, "For that reason, work is underway on the transfer of warehouses behind the airport, from Wazirabad Canal area… the warehouses, factory buildings and shops on the eastern side of the airport pose a security threat.”
The source said steps would be taken for acquisition of areas as alternative locations for these buildings.
