2 pickle factories closed in Kabul for violating health rules

KABUL (Pajhwok): Kabul Municipality has closed two factories in Mewa Market in capital Kabul for producing substandard pickles and violating health rules.

Kabul Municipality in a Tweet said that Environmental Health Department of the municipality during an assessment of some factories closed two pickle producing shops for violating health standards and using harmful materials in their products.

The municipality said besides violating health standards, the workers of the factories had taken no hygiene measures for their work and used low quality and harmful materials in their products.

“Kabul Municipality has set some health standards for following hygiene in factories and anyone violating these rules would be taken to justice,” the source added.

The municipality said observing health standards to prevent the spread of diseases is one of its priorities.
