CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): The Salang highway that connects Kabul with northern provinces has been closed for cargo trucks due to heavy snowfall.
The highway maintenance department said the key route had been closed from both sides as the snowfall was still ongoing.
Light vehicles were still able to ply the highway, the department said, adding cargo trucks had been barred for safety reasons.
