KABUL (Pajhwok): An official says the state-run company will supply liquefied gas to consumers at subsidised prices.
Bilal Karimi, deputy spokesman for the government, tweeted that residents of 22 police districts of Kabul would purchase a kilogram of gas for 70afs.
He said the decision was aimed to lower the prices of fuel and to provide better services to the people.
With the arrival of winter and depreciation of the afghani against the dollar, the price of one kilogram of gas in Kabul soared to about 100afs.
But currently the value of the dollar has fallen against the afghani, and citizens demand a reduction in prices of fuel and other essential items.
