KABUL (Pajhwok): Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) on Tuesday said another $32 million package of humanitarian aid had arrived in the country.
In a tweet on Tuesday, DAB welcomed the international assistance and called for more humanitarian cooperation in the future.
"Da Afghanistan Bank appreciates any principled step that leads to the arrival of currency into the country and helps the needy, the bank will continue its efforts in this area,” the source said.
The bank did not provide further details about the assistance.
Cash for humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan has recently reached the country multiple times.
Since the fall of previous government in August 2021, the United States has frozen nearly $10 billion in Afghan assets and imposed restrictions on Afghan banks, facing Afghanistan with severe economic problems.
The US Department of Treasure said five days ago that international banks could send money to Afghanistan for humanitarian purposes and donors would pay salaries to teachers and health workers in government agencies.
