KABUL (Pajhwok): The cabinet on Wednesday approved a proposal for registration of SIM cards and instructed Office of Administrative Affairs to take control of former officials’ houses which are left unattended.
The Office of Administrative Affairs has published some of the decisions of the cabinet on its Twitter page today.
The source said that the cabinet approved a draft prepared by the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled, based on which martyrs’ families, orphans and widows of Islamic Emirate as well as hires of former government’s soldiers killed in conflicts and disabled people of the past four decades of wars are entitled to cash assistance.
The cabinet approved the request of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) for biometric registration of SIM cards, the source added.
The cabinet also instructed the Office of Administrative Affairs to take control of houses of the former government officials which have been left unattended.
The cabinet has also approved a curriculum by the Ministry of Higher Education for master degree in medicine, engineering and agriculture at the Afghan International University.
