KABUL (Pajhwok): United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) says due to deepening humanitarian crisis, the Indira Gandhi Children’s Hospital receives up to eight cases of malnutrition each day.

UNICEF tweeted: "It is my responsibility to help my people in their time of need," said Head Nurse Hasiba. She and many health workers across Afghanistan selflessly buy medicines, using their own money, in an effort to help desperate parents.

Following the humanitarian crisis in the country, the Indira Gandhi Children’s Hospital receives up to eight cases each day and the children suffer from complications associated with severe malnutrition.
