1 rebel killed in Samangan operation

AIBAK (Pajhwok): One rebel has been killed and another arrested during a security force operation in the Dara-e-Suf Paen district of northern Samangan province, a statement said on Monday.

Detained militant has confessed to his crime, one Kalashnikov and some ammunition recovered from the detainee, Samangan police said in a statement.

The statement did not provide more detail but according to a well-placed source the incident happened in the Kotal Regi area.
