KABUL (Pajhwok): Iran has voiced its willingness for joint investment programmes with Afghanistan in different sectors.
The two countries should pursue joint investment initiatives in the mining industry, energy and agriculture, proposed Iran’s special envoy for Afghanistan.
According to Tasnim News Agency, Hassan Kazemi Qomi floated the proposal at separate meetings with Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi and Minister of Energy Mullah Abdul Latif Mansur in Kabul.
The two sides conferred on various issues, such as the economic situation and political developments in Afghanistan.
Qomi also expressed Iran’s readiness for joint investment activities in energy projects and construction of railroads in Afghanistan.
