KABUL (Pajhwok): The third round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine on ending their hostilities has ended inconclusively.

Delegates from both sides acknowledged their meeting in Belarus on Monday evening made no breakthrough.

Russia’s chief negotiator Vladimir Medinsky and his Ukrainian counterpart Mikhail Podolyak confirmed they could not achieve any headway.

TASS news agency reported the two sides agreed to continue with negotiations and noted positive shifts on humanitarian corridors.

Moscow hopes the humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians from areas of hostilities will start working today (Tuesday).

In a video on Twitter, Podolyak said they had agreed on some changes to the logistics that would make assistance to civilians more effective.

Consultations on the basic political settlement package in combination with a ceasefire and security guarantees would be proposed, he added.
