QALA-I-NAW/ FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): A woman and two men have been killed in Badghis and Ghor provinces, local officials said on Tuesday.
Deputy police chief for Badghis Ghawsuddin Afghan told Pajhwok Afghan News a woman shot herself to death with a pistol in Qala-i-Naw late on Monday.
He said: “The woman was living in her father’s house as her husband is in Iran. She leaves behind two children.”
But Sanaullah Sabit, nursing manager at the Badghis Civil Hospital, said the woman’s body showed a bullet hit her in the head.
The motive behind the suicide is yet to be determined.
In Ghor, two individuals were killed in the Shaghzak area of Pasaband district on Monday evening.
Abdul Rahman Badri, police spokesman for Ghor, said both victims were killed while asleep.
He added the killer managed to flee the area but was later arrested by security forces. The detainee is currently under interrogation.
Badri said the motive behind the double murder case was yet to be known.
