Man selling drugs arrested in Badakhshan

FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Security officials in northeastern Badakhshan province say a man who was selling narcotics has been arrested in Faizabad, the provincial capital.

Badakhshan Police Headquarters’ media office said thatthe person was arrested by security forces of the Anti-Narcotics Department in the first police district of Faizabad city on Wednesday.

The detainee named Mohammad Yasin possessed 34 grams of heroin and 15 grams crystal meth, the source said.

According to another report, one person was injured in a traffic accident in Badakhshan.

The driver was injured when a pick up car veered off the road in Pawro village of Yawan district around 10am today.

Provincial police officials said that the injured driver was taken to the healthcare center of the district and his condition was said to be in stable.
