KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday said Fazel Mohammad Saber has been appointed as chargé d'affaires in Afghanistan embassy in Turkmenistan.
Khan Wali Khan Basharmal was previously serving as Afghanistan's ambassador to Turkmenistan, who resigned following regime change in the country.
Foreign ministry spokesman, Abdul QaharBalkhi in a tweet today said, “Appointed by IEA, Mr. Mohammad Fazel Saber was introduced in a ceremony as chargé d'affaires to his colleagues at the Afghan Embassy in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, yesterday.”
He said that Turkmen Deputy Foreign Minister WafaKhadzhiev and a number of other Turkmen officials were also present at the introduction ceremony of Saber.
Deputy Turkmenistan foreign minister during the ceremony said that they will continue to cooperate with Afghanistan to implement TAP and TAPI projects.
Fazel Mohammad Saber assured the participants of the ceremony that the Afghan Embassy will do its utmost to provide all services contained in the Embassy charter with full commitment and sincerity.
