KABUL (Pajhwok): Russia has donated 17 tonnes of medical supplies to the Afghan Ministry of Defense’s health command, the ministry said in a statement on Friday.
Russia’s special envoy to Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, handed over the aid to the ministry’s health command yesterday, the statement said.
Acting Minister of Defense, Maulvi Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, thanked Russia for its humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan during a meeting with Kabulov.
Kabulov arrived in Afghanistan on Thursday with a delegation and promised to begin work on projects that could play crucial rule in rebuilding Afghanistan’s economy.
