ASADABAD (Pajhwok): The Education Department of eastern Kunar province says a total of 441 schools are functional across the province with 288 lacking buildings.
Qari Ihsanullah Mahmood, deputy director of education department, told Pajhwok Afghan News that he had shared the issue of lack of buildings with the leadership of the Ministry of Education and hoped action would be taken to address it.
“Our 288 schools have neither buildings nor tents, hundreds of schools do not have access to potable water and bathrooms,” he informed.
