KABUL (Pajhwok): The foreign ministers of Qatar and Indonesia have signed an agreement on cooperation in providing humanitarian and development assistance to the people of Afghanistan.
The agreement came after a meeting between Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahan and his Indonesian counterpart Retno Marsudi, on the sidelines of the Doha Forum,
The Qatar News Agency reported under the agreement, the two sides announced their common intention to offer humanitarian aid to the Afghans.
The objective behind signing the letter was to establish a cooperative mechanism to support capabilities of the Afghan people and empower women, the report said.
The two ministers reviewed bilateral cooperative relations and means of developing and promoting these, as well as topics of common concern.
Both sides also agreed to provide scholarships for Afghan students and arrange professional training courses for them.
