War victim Khanam Bas Gul seeks urgent help

NELLI (Pajhwok): Khanam Bas Gul from Sartagab area of Pato district in central Daikundi province is a war victim and she is currently struggling economically.

She has an eight-member family and her husband died in war and now she is leading her family in a critical situation.

Currently, unable to return to her hometown in Pato district, Khanam Bas Gul has so far referred to several aid providing agencies for help but nobody assisted her.

“I come out early in the morning and go to the offices of every aid providing agency but currently I could not attract the support of any organization,” she said.

She claimed aid-providing agencies did not properly survey houses and vulnerable families were not included in their lists.

“Right now I don’t have money to return to our home and I live in a rental house. For the past few months I did not pay the rent of the house too,” she said.

She said they have nothing in the house adding that currently, three families lived in one house.

She asked the government to pay attention to their need and asked aid providing agencies to strictly monitor families during their surveys.

It is pertinent to mention that in the past 40 years of war and conflict millions of families have fell victims to war and millions other displaced.
