KABUL (Pajhwok): The First Deputy Prime Minister has tasked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) with giving the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs a deadline to manage and control the affairs of Kabul international airport.
The First Deputy Prime Minister's Office in a statement said that the Economic Commission headed by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to give the Qatari government a specific time to run the affairs of Kabul airport and obtain a contract in this regard.
The commission also instructed the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Interior, Trade and Industry and the Directorate General of Intelligence to issue emergency visas to foreign investors and facilitate them at Kabul airport and create a special joint desk to provide these services.
After detailed discussions, the Economic Commission tasked a delegation led by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to travel to Russia to control the scarcity of wheat and flour in Afghanistan and their subsequent high prices.
