KABUL (Pajhwok): Some men and women religious scholars in capital Kabul have asked acting government to allow girls to go to schools.
Religious scholar Abdul Sattar Hayat said government should never close schools on girls.
Representing the Afghanistan Religious Scholars Movement he said they were ready to work with the government on girl education.
Another Religious Scholar Abdul Malik Ziae said they had no issue with girls going to schools in Islamic Hijab.
“In Islamic countries relations between politicians and masses is based on mercy not dictation and intimidation so girls should be allowed to go to school,” he said . . .
