Saeed was awarded the punishment in two terror-financing cases registered by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).
The two first information reports (FIRs) were registered against the alleged terror chief in 2019 under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) of 1997.
Hafiz Saeed was awarded 33 years imprisonment under different sections ATA. Additionally, the court imposed on him a fine of Rs340,000 ($1,825).
All the sentences would run concurrently, ruled Judge Ejaz Buttar, who said the prosecution had proved the terror financing charges against the JuD chief.
