Russian FM in favour of negotiations with Ukraine

KABUL (Pajhwok): Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says his country is in favour of talks with Ukraine on ending the ongoing war.

“President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stressed that we prefer talks,” the foreign minister told the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

Seeing no reason for abandoning negotiations, Lavrov accused Ukraine of tending to be evasive and doing U-turns.

Talks between the two sides began on February 28, but no concrete progress has been achieved yet.
