MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): Officials in central Maidan Wardak province say a council has been set up to resolve long-running disputes between Kochi and Hazara tribes.
The 20-member council was set up in line with instructions from Governor Mohammad Amin Omar on Tuesday, his office said.
Headed by Syed Hashim Jawadi Balkhabi, the council’s office will be located in the Behsud district of the province.
A statement from the governor’s house says the panel will work for a comprehensive solution to existing problems between the two tribes.
In the past two decades, have clashes happened between the two tribes in Behsud district.
