Sweden contributes $7.2m more to Afghanistan fund

KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says Sweden has increased humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan.

OCHA tweeted: “Thank you Sweden! Sweden has contributed an additional SEK 70 million ($7.2m) to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund for 2022.”

“Sweden is the fund’s third-largest donor, (with) $82.2 million contributions since 2014. Your continued support is saving lives in Afghanistan”, OCHA wrote.
