MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): At least 3,100 needy families in central Maidan Wardak province have received cash assistance from the World Food Program.
An amount of17, 670,000 afghanis was distributed to 3,100 deserving households.
The cash aid distribution process was implemented by FCDO and each family received 5,700afs.
Eng. Mohammad Farid, an official of the organisation in the province, told Pajhwok Afghan News they had conducted a survey earlier to identify the needy families.
“We have issued six-month assistance cards to 50,580 families that receive food items every month.”
