KABUL (Pajhwok): The British government has added top Russian business leaders to the updated sanctions list, says a media report.
Put on the sanctions list are leaders of the Russian oil producer, Sistema Holding and ex-president of railways, TASS news agency reported.
The updated sanctions list was posted to the website of the UK government on Wednesday, according to the state-controlled news agency.
The fresh list now has the names of 206 more individuals from Russia, the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.
The list reads: “Through his directorship of Lukoil, Alekperov continues to obtain a benefit from and/or continues to support the government of Russia.”
