Daikundi: Young woman commits suicide

NEILI (Pajhwok): A young woman has committed suicide by hanging herself in the Kaiti district of central Daikundi province.

Police spokesman Ghulam Ali Javed said: “The woman hanged herself in her house in Tamran village of the district on Monday night.”

He said the motive behind the incident was yet to be ascertained. Police are investigating the suicide.

According to Javed, based on forensic testing, no sign of beating was noticed on the victim’s body. She leaves behind a child and her husband is currently in Iran.
