Former AAF pilot returns home from United States

KABUL (Pajhwok): An Afghan Air Force (AAF) pilot, who fled to the United States, has returned home to serve his homeland, says the Ministry of Defence.

The AAF pilot, identified as Suhrabuddin Sahak, had fled to the US in the wake of the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, the ministry said.

After his return home, Sahak urged his ex-colleagues to come back to Afghanistan. “Our homeland needs us, and we need our homeland,” he was quoted as saying.
