Weapons depot seized in Jawzjan, police claim

SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): A weapons depot has been seized in the Khan Aqa district of northern Jawzjan province, a police official said on Wednesday.

Col. Mohammad Din Dost, counter-terrorism head, told Pajhwok Afghan News security forces captured an arms dump during a special operation in Awgam village on Wednesday morning.

He said the arm dump contained 44 mortar shells, 27 bulletproof vests and other military equipment. No arrest has been made in this connection, however.
