KABUL (Pajhwok): Anti-corruption personnel have detained a man in connection with fake afghani banknotes, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said on Saturday.
In a tweet, the ministry identified the detainee as Mujeeb Rahman, hailing from the Akakhel village of Qarabagh district.
It said that the detainee wanted to convert 100,000 fake afghani banknotes into 30,000 reals afs.
The man is said to have confessed to bringing the counterfeit money from Pakistan.
