KABUL (Pajhwok): The Iranian president has denounced the latest wave of bombings in Afghanistan and Israeli raids on the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In a statement on the Iranian presidency website on Saturday, Ebrahim Raisi said protecting Afghan people’s lives was the caretaker government’s duty.
He called for Afghanistan’s new rulers to discharge their responsibility and initiate strict action against the perpetrators of such crimes against Afghans in the holy month of Ramazan.
Raisi condemned attacks on Afghan schools and mosques, warning of escalating threats against the Afghans and other regional nations.
Iran was ready to treat those wounded in the deadly attacks, he said, two days after 30 worshippers were martyred and 80 others injured in a mosque bombing in Mazar-i-Sharif.
