KABUL (Pajhwok): Over 30 students have completed midwifery education training provided by the UN Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA) in southern Kandahar.
On its Twitter handle UNFPA wrote: “@UNFPA is training more #midwives to support the provision of maternal health and basic health services in Afghanistan. Last week, 31 students of the @CanEmbAFG-supported Community Midwifery Education #CME graduated in #Kandahar.”
The UN agency added: “The graduates will soon undergo internship at 25 Family Health Houses #FHHs in the province, where they will also serve upon completion of the training. #MidwivesSaveLives”
