KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan Steel Mills Union says the country has gained self-sufficiency in the steel sector and over $500 million has been invested in the area.
Abdul Nasir Reshtia, head of Afghanistan Steel Mills Union, in an exclusive interview with Pajhwok Afghan News said that the country's iron sector, in addition to meeting the needs of the Afghan market for metals, has now been able to export it to other countries.
He said that Afghanistan exported more than 10,000 tons of iron to Pakistan in the last two months.
