FIROZKOH (Pajhwok): Local officials in western Ghor province say the Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) organization has distributed 25 motorcycles to vaccinators in the province.
Mualvi Abdul Wahid Hamas, Ghor governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News, "CHA organization has provided motorcycles to health teams to better adapt to health and vaccination programs so that they can travel to the farthest corners of the province and implement health programs."
Hamas said the vaccinators should pay care to the maintenance of motorcycles as they were given as trust to them.
The distribution of motorcycles to vaccinators in Ghor comes as spring polio vaccination drive and other campaigns in the province have recently started.
Ghor is a mountainous province with impassable roads and traveling by road to remote areas is a challenging task.
