PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The escalation of crisis in Afghanistan is a common challenge to Iran and Pakistan, says Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
At a meeting with ambassadors from Muslim countries at his office in Islamabad, the premier underlined collaboration among neighbouring states to assist the Afghan people.
He believed unanimity and cooperation among Muslim countries would help achieve peace and welfare and combat poverty in the region.
The humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan posed a challenge for Iran and Pakistan as neighbouring states, the premier noted.
Sharif also asked Afghanistan’s neighbours to put up a unified front to assist the Afghan people and tackle the humanitarian crisis in that country.
