3 children killed, injured in Nangarhar blast

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): One child was killed, three others including a woman were injured in a blast inside a house in the Sra Road district of eastern Nangarhar province on Friday, an official.

District Police Chief Qari Ekramullah told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast happened at around 9:30am when an old warhead detonated inside a house.

Children had discovered the warhead and they tried to break it into pieces when it exploded, he said.

Awal Gul, the resident of locality, said the victims were poor people, they head to search for scrap and other items outside to used them as fuel or fire wood.

These children recovered the warhead and considered it as scarp item. It was exploded when they tried to break it into pieces.
