Paktika governor pledges foolproof security during Eid

SHARAN (Pajhwok): The governor of southeastern Paktika province has assured people of complete law and order situation in the province during Eid-ul-Fitr and urged masses to avoid celebratory firing and other illegal activities during the festival.

Governor Mawlavi Abdullah Mukhtar said this Eid would a happiest Eid because situation has improved and there was security and peace nationwide.

He said security forces had been advised to work hard during Eid days and ensure province-wide security.

“Youth should not gatherings where drugs and illicit substances consumed, security forces and youth should prevent celebratory firing, everyone should consider traffic rules and avoid speedy driving of cars and motorcycles,” he said.

He said different entertainment programmers had been considered during Eid holidays.

Akbar Khan and Aziz, two Paktika youth, said the advises of Governor Mukhtar were in the interest of the people and they would implement them.
